Accessibility at Bright Raven Counseling

Bright Raven Counseling is committed to making our website and services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across our site and to continuously improve usability for all visitors.

What we’re doing

  • Using semantic HTML with a clear heading structure and landmarks.

  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images and marking decorative images appropriately.

  • Ensuring text, buttons, and links meet contrast requirements and have clear focus indicators.

  • Making all interactive components usable by keyboard and assistive technologies.

  • Writing link text that describes the destination or action.

  • Testing forms with labels, instructions, and error messages that are conveyed in text and to assistive tech.

  • Reviewing new content and features against WCAG 2.2 AA and following guidance from the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and the U.S. Department of Justice regarding accessibility under the ADA.

Compatibility & technology
Our site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies. We rely on HTML, WAI-ARIA where appropriate, CSS, and JavaScript that conform to accessibility best practices.

Known limitations
We’re actively auditing legacy images and buttons to ensure alt text and accessible names are complete, and we’re improving keyboard behavior for any menu overlays. If you encounter an issue, please let us know so we can fix it quickly.
